The inspiration behind our project was to explore the potential of the Bitcoin Lightning Network (LN) in revolutionizing online gaming, specifically roulette. We aimed to leverage LN's fast and low-cost transaction capabilities to create a decentralized and transparent gaming platform that enhances user experience and trust.
What it does
Our project, "Lightning Roulette: Decentralized Gaming on the Bitcoin Lightning Network," allows players to engage in real-time roulette games using LN's off-chain payment channels. Players can place bets instantly and securely, with provably fair outcomes verified on the blockchain. This platform emphasizes speed, transparency, and accessibility, catering to a global audience of gaming enthusiasts.
How we built it
We built the platform by integrating LN's payment channels for seamless and rapid transactions. The game logic and fairness verification are implemented using smart contracts and blockchain technology to ensure trust and transparency.
