Inspiration
One of our friends recently just turned 21. Like most people on their 21st birthday, he went out and did everything he couldn't do before he was 21. Unfortunately this included gambling, specifically Blackjack. At first everything was going great. He was up $500 dollars playing smart and making good decisions. Like most gamblers he continued to play, chasing the rush of making more and more money. He began to get greedy and lost over $2000 dollars that night. Me and my team decided we would code "Debook" an application that tells you exactly what you should do while playing Blackjack to statistically make you the most money.
What it does
Debook takes in the player's hand value and compares it to the dealer's face up card. It then decides the best course of action for the player to win the hand. Making the unknown outcomes of gambling a little bit more known.
How we built it
We built our application using python and pygame.
Challenges we ran into
Some errors we ran into included creating a check box, syntax errors, and overall debugging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of coming up with an idea ourselves and making it come true. We are also proud of creating a project with 0 instructions.
What we learned
We learned how to work as a team, create our own project, and gained more experience with GitHub.
What's next for Debook of Blackjack
