What it does

Debatrix is an AI-powered debate platform that allows users to submit arguments on a specific topic and receive real-time feedback from an AI debate coach. The tool is designed to help users:

Practice persuasive writing and critical thinking

Improve argument structure through AI-generated responses

Track and review past debates by topic

By simulating a two-sided discussion, Debatrix encourages deeper engagement with complex issues while providing constructive, personalized AI insights.

How we built it

I built this utilizing the Groq api as well as django for the backend and nextjs for the front end

Challenges we ran into

Getting our api requests to actually go through and not just time out.
