Debatrix is an AI-powered debate platform that allows users to submit arguments on a specific topic and receive real-time feedback from an AI debate coach. The tool is designed to help users Practice persuasive writing and critical thinking

Improve argument structure through AI-generated responses

Track and review past debates by topic

By simulating a two-sided discussion, Debatrix encourages deeper engagement with complex issues while providing constructive, personalized AI insights.

How we built it

I used next.js for the front end django for the backend and MongoDB for the database

Challenges we ran into

Filtering the results and getting the api requests to actually work

Creating something that someone could actually use

What's next for Debatrix

Hopefully to host it on a website so you dont have to run the front and backend server locally when you want to use it. Already have a domain http://debatrix.study but nothing is hosted there yet
