Inspiration

I always wanted to practise my speaking skills and my debating skills, the problem is it is hard to find a place to so especially for adults. Enter Gemini 1.5 and its ability to take Audio files as input, I was intrigued as to what it brings to table in comparison to standard Speech-To-Text, and sure enough it can analyse your speaking skills which is quite amazing, this was my inspiration,

What it does

A tool to practice your speaking and debating skills, you will select a topic or write your own, choose your position and then have a debate with Gemini 1.5 using your voice, once you are finished you can see how Gemini rated your skills (both speaking and debating skills) and the room for improvement.

How we built it

Using a combination of React for the Frontend and FastAPI for the Backend, the tool integrates with Gemini and utilises its multi-model input to send Audio files to analyse and respond to your argument, it will also analyse your confidence, tone, articulation and overall speaking skills and will point out to you where you have room for improvement in both areas.
