AI Debate Arena

Inspiration

Every difficult decision feels like an internal debate. Whether it is choosing a career path, moving abroad, ending a relationship, starting a business, or deciding how to navigate uncertainty, people often hear conflicting voices in their minds and from the people around them. Some advice is emotional, some logical, some strategic, and some fear-driven. I wanted to explore what decision-making could look like if AI could simulate these perspectives in real time. That idea became AI Debate Arena, a multi-agent AI simulation platform where intelligent AI personas debate human dilemmas live inside an interactive arena. Instead of giving users a single AI answer, the platform transforms decisions into experiences by generating multiple personalities with unique reasoning styles, emotional tones, and worldviews.

What it does

Users enter a dilemma or controversial question such as:

• “Should I move abroad for opportunities?”
• “Should AI replace doctors?”
• “Should I quit my stable job to build a startup?”
• “Is university still worth it?” The platform then creates multiple AI personas such as:
• Future Self
• Billionaire Founder
• Philosopher
• Therapist
• Realist
• Optimist
• Strict Parent These personas debate the topic live through animated conversations, emotional reactions, audience voting, and moderator summaries. The goal is not to provide one “correct” answer, but to help users think deeper through multiple perspectives

How we built it

AI Debate Arena was built extensively using MeDo’s conversational full-stack development workflow. Instead of manually coding every interface component from scratch, I used iterative prompting and multi-turn conversations with MeDo to progressively refine:

• persona generation workflows
• animated interaction layouts
• live conversation structure
• moderator summaries
• audience voting systems
• visual styling and transitions One of the most powerful aspects of MeDo was the ability to rapidly experiment with ideas and immediately transform them into working application components. The development process became highly creative and conversational. Rather than spending hours manually wiring interfaces, I focused on directing the product vision while MeDo accelerated implementation and UI generation.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was making the debates feel alive rather than static chatbot responses. A lot of experimentation went into:

• persona diversity
• emotional tone differences
• pacing of conversations
• layout responsiveness
• cinematic presentation Another challenge was balancing entertainment with usefulness. I wanted the platform to feel engaging and visually impressive while still encouraging thoughtful reflection and meaningful discussion. Creating distinct AI personalities that genuinely felt different from one another was also an important design challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The feature I am most proud of is the live multi-persona debate system. Watching multiple AI personalities dynamically respond to the same dilemma creates an experience that feels surprisingly human, emotional, and immersive.

What we learned

This project completely changed the way I think about AI-assisted software development. I learned that conversational full-stack generation is not just about speeding up coding. It fundamentally changes the creative process itself. Using MeDo allowed me to rapidly prototype ideas, iterate on UX decisions, and focus more on product vision, storytelling, and user experience rather than getting stuck on implementation details. I also learned how important emotional engagement and presentation are when building AI products.

What's next for AI Debate Arena

Future improvements could include:

• AI memory and personality evolution
• livestream debate modes The long-term vision is to turn AI Debate Arena into an interactive platform where people can explore ideas, decisions, and perspectives in a more engaging and human-centered way.
