Inspiration

Many online sellers manage their products, orders, customer conversations, and sales performance across multiple platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, and Instagram Shop. This creates a fragmented workflow where sellers need to switch between many dashboards just to understand their business and respond to customers.

I built DealPilot AI to solve this problem by creating an AI-powered sales command center for multi-channel e-commerce sellers.

What it does

DealPilot AI helps sellers manage their e-commerce workflow from one dashboard. The app includes:

• Connected store simulation for platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, and BigCommerce
• Product management with source channel tracking
• Order tracking with payment and shipping status
• Unified Inbox for managing customer messages from multiple channels
• AI Product Writer for generating channel-specific product copy
• AI Promo Builder for creating promotional campaign ideas
• AI Reply Assistant for faster customer responses
• Cross-channel sales insights and AI-powered recommendations
• Collapsible sidebar and polished SaaS dashboard UI

DealPilot AI is not another online store. It is an AI sales assistant for the stores sellers already use.

How I built it with MeDo

I built the project through structured, step-by-step conversations with MeDo. First, I asked MeDo to generate the core SaaS app structure, including the landing page, dashboard, product management, orders page, sales insights, and settings.

After that, I refined the product by adding more advanced business features such as Connected Stores, Unified Inbox, channel-based analytics, mock store syncing, and manage-connection workflows. I also improved the UI with a modern landing page, realistic dashboard visuals, a custom logo, Framer Motion animations, and a collapsible sidebar.

The conversation process with MeDo helped me move from a basic e-commerce dashboard idea into a more complete AI-powered business tool.

Most impressive feature

The most impressive feature MeDo helped create was the Connected Stores and Unified Inbox workflow.

Sellers can simulate connecting external e-commerce platforms, manage store connections, sync demo data, view channel performance, and handle customer messages from different platforms in one unified workspace.

Another strong feature is the Gemini-powered AI Product Writer and Cross-Channel Sales Insight. These features help sellers generate better product copy and understand which sales channels are performing best.

API integration

To extend the app beyond static demo data, I integrated the Gemini API for real AI-powered generation. Gemini is used to generate product descriptions and cross-channel sales insights.

The app is designed with a safe fallback system. If the Gemini API key is missing or the API request fails, DealPilot AI continues working using template-based demo output instead of breaking the user experience.

Challenges

One challenge was making the app feel like a real business SaaS product while keeping the MVP lightweight and demo-friendly. Another challenge was integrating AI safely without exposing the API key on the client side.

I also had to make sure the connected e-commerce store features were clearly presented as mock integrations for the MVP, while still giving users a realistic experience of how the platform could work.

What I learned

I learned how to structure prompts more clearly for MeDo, especially by separating product requirements, UI polish, feature scope, and API integration tasks. I also learned the importance of keeping an MVP focused while still making it feel complete and valuable.

What’s next

Next, DealPilot AI could be expanded with real Shopify and WooCommerce integrations, real customer messaging APIs, persistent database storage, team accounts, advanced analytics, and more AI-powered automation for sellers.
