What it does

Deal Room is an AI-powered negotiation training platform that lets supply chain professionals practice with virtual suppliers using organizational local data. Our AI agent generates personalized deal points, provides real-time leverage scores during conversations, and delivers post-call insights with quantified savings opportunities.

How we built it

Built with React TypeScript frontend and Python FastAPI backend, integrated with Vapi for real-time voice AI conversations. The system processes spend/RFP/BAFO data to create supplier scenarios, uses our AI agent for dynamic leverage scoring, and provides real-time TCO recalculation during practice negotiations.

Challenges we ran into

  • Subjectivity in leverage scoring: Converting qualitative conversation dynamics into reliable quantitative metrics that users trust
  • Disparate data sources: Integrating inconsistent spend data formats, RFP structures, and BAFO terms across different suppliers and systems
  • Real-time performance: Ensuring sub-600ms response times for natural conversation flow while maintaining AI agent accuracy
  • User adoption: Creating an intuitive interface that procurement professionals would actually use for practice rather than traditional training methods
