Inspiration
As students, we all have experience with difficulty managing time, and it's not helped by the way that Canvas organizes assignments. We wanted to create something to help with this problem.
What it does
The extension intelligently allocates assignments to even the workload out across a week and prioritize more important assignments.
How we built it
We used web technologies -- HTML, CSS, and Javascript -- to build a Chrome extension that accomplishes our goal.
Challenges we ran into
Coordination was difficult and the timing was extremely tight. None of the event staff were able to help us with web extension or API -related questions, so it felt like an uphill battle at times, especially given the strict and confusing nature of the Canvas API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The extension keeps Canvas' distinct look and feel, and the data it provides is accurate and useful.
