deadLIEner

Our project aims to improve user productivity by taking their scheduled due dates and setting them before they are actually due to give users a sense of urgency to decrease procrastination!

Inspiration

As we were brainstorming as a group we envisioned problems that people face across many demographics. One of the main problems that came to mind was ultimately productivity and distractedness. We as a group all struggled with that individually but could also think of different examples where other students also struggled as well as employed adults and students in high school. Our solution was to create a software that would lie to you about your deadlines to make you worry less about them because ultimately whatever you do, you would have more time than you thought.

What it does

Our application allows a person to build their schedule with different due dates and will make them earlier by a random amount each times that the user would not adjust to that time and end up ignoring the deadlines.

How we built it

We built the web application using a combination of HTML, java, and SQL as the primary languages and used Visual studio code and Github to collaborate and upload our files and alterations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of ourselves for properly deferring tasks to different group members to most effectively reach our goals as a team. Through effective collaboration we were able to make a project that we are proud of and have a great time during the hackathon!

What's next for deadLIEner
