Inspiration

Hurricane Irma recently hit Houston and many people weren't prepared to weather the storm. We want to help people be prepared in case of emergency.

What it does

DDK helps users build their emergency supplies. Items can be added to the list in bulk in the form of "kits", and the user can also add their own items. The app tracks expiration dates to alert the user when supplies need to be replaced.

Challenges I ran into

Our team started on the OpenSource platform Haxe, but had a lot of trouble getting the code to compile and run. We wanted to learn a new technology, but decided to go with android-studio after hours of Haxe not working.
