Inspiration

Time is extremely valuable in the medical world, and our goal is to reduce the amount of time physicians must spend reaching a conclusion on a diagnosis by creating a program that can help relieve this burden.

What it does

DDeXpert uses an algorithm that analyzes patient laboratory data to quickly develop a weighted differential diagnosis of possible renal diseases.

How we built it

We created the diagnosing algorithm using C++ then paired it with a web server we created using Express to create the user interface.

Challenges we ran into

Steep learning curve for Express, learning renal physiology

We were able to learn Express, a language we were not familiar with to start!

Branch out to diseases outside the kidney. Present idea to medical faculty.
