Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project was our daily struggle with the administrative papers and document that we had to manage and needed in our daily life. It takes us a lot of efforts and time therefore we thought of digitalising the whole process and putting all of our documents and papers in one platforme that would make the sharing and extracting of our papers more secure and easy.

What it does

Our product is a platform buit on Binance Smart Chain, which is a fork of Ethereum, a decentralized blockchain that establishes a peer-to-peer network that securely executes and verifies application code, called smart contracts. It allows users to get all their governmental paperwork done just with one click!

How we built it

Our project aims to utilize the power of blockchain in order to digitalize all of the paperwork. The blockchain could be explained as a set of encrypted files that are distributed over many, locations but which are synchronised, but we used a modern solution called the Ethereum blockchain, a decentralized blockchain that establishes a peer-to-peer network that securely executes and verifies application code, called smart contracts. One problem though. Anyone to view transaction amounts and the addresses involved, meaning every data is public. Our solution for that is to encrypt everything the only person able to encrypt it is the user itself and the government or subservices , using a private key different than the wallet's private key.

You would think that the implementation of a blockchain or any other solution is the most optimal one for the dematerialization of the documents, but what about the already existing documents? According to our studies, it would require at least 3 years to digitalize people's data. As a solution, we devloped an AI model that automates analysis and classification of the documents after extracting its contents using OCR.

Challenges we ran into

  • Trying to figure out ways to integrate new systems without affecting the functioning of the existing ones .
  • Trying to plan a huge and complex system in a very short amount of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Finishing our plan on time.
  • Finding a dynamic and scalable solution that could be implemented basically anywhere.
  • Implementing a new technology while trying to solve a real world problem.

What we learned

  • We discovered that services we trusted all our lives are still really unoptimized for moderne and futuristic standards.
  • We got a good hands-on experience with cryptographic systems .
  • We learned how to do a sematic analytic and document classification using IA.

What's next for Priefcase

We aim to comercialize it by proposing it to our target "the gouvernement" , and adding new features consistently .
