Inspiration

• Our inspiration for this project is the current mental health crisis that is happening around the world right now
• We were tasked with finding the solution to getting help to a vast amount of people in the most efficient and useable way possible

What it does

• Our solution is a free, Lo-Fi application that empowers all users to self-manage by allowing them to physically see their progress over time through small daily tasks. It allows them to make their own choices, garner self-awareness, and gain confidence in their improvement.

How we built it

• We built Blume through a few different steps. First, our business analyst did user research to properly address user needs within the app. Next, as a group, we decided which route we wanted to go in based upon the problem and our user data and created the idea for Blume. Then, our designers worked together to create a rough sketch to present to the group, then created wireframes from the sketch. After out developers began creating the foundation for the app through code. Finally, our team created a final presentation based off of the requirements.

Challenges we ran into

• The main challenge we ran into was the amount of time that was had to crank out the final project. We had to decide which parts of the project were necessary and which parts could be implemented later on. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
• As a whole, we are most proud of our final product. We really believe in this project and think it can help people.

What we learned

• As a group, most of us have never worked with people outside of our fields and had the opportunity to this weekend. As developers we learned what designers do and their processes to reach a final results, and as designers we learned what developers do and how they use our designs. We also further learned the importance of a good research foundation.

What's next for DBSA - Blume

• The next steps for Blume would be to do more user research and fully build out the application. In building out the application, we would dig deeper into the designs as well as dig deeper into all the features that could be developed to ensure the best user experience.
