Inspiration

Our inspiration for Daytwa Health - A Social Justice-Focused Healthcare Initiative comes from a deep concern for healthcare disparities and the urgent need to address them. We are driven by the belief that everyone deserves equal access to quality healthcare, regardless of their background or circumstances.

What it does

Daytwa Health is a prototype healthcare chatbot that aims to revolutionize preventive healthcare while addressing social justice, equity, and creating social good. Our project, in its prototype stage, is designed to undergo significant modifications to align with social justice principles and tackle healthcare disparities in underserved communities.

How we built it

  • Development and integration of a chatbot platform.
  • Recruitment and training of Health Equity Navigators to serve as liaisons to underserved communities.
  • Community outreach programs, virtual workshops, and local events.
  • Data collection and analysis to inform program improvements and advocacy efforts.

Challenges we ran into

During the development of Daytwa Health, we faced several challenges. These included:

What's next for Daytwa Health - A Social Justice-Focused Healthcare Initiative

While we're presenting a prototype for the CAPTURETHEWORLD hackathon, our long-term goal is to fully develop the Daytwa Health platform into a comprehensive social justice healthcare initiative. In the future, we plan to:

  • Expand our network of Health Equity Navigators to reach more underserved communities.
  • Integrate advanced machine learning to provide even more personalized guidance.
  • Engage in policy advocacy to address systemic healthcare injustices.
  • Continually collect and analyze data to improve our program and support our advocacy efforts.
