🧾 About the Project — DayPilot

🌟 Inspiration

Every great idea starts with a problem worth solving. Our inspiration for DayPilot came from the need to simplify daily planning and time management in a world overflowing with notifications, distractions, and poorly designed scheduling tools. Most existing planners are either too rigid, too overwhelming, or lack smart features that adapt to a user’s day.

We wanted to create something simple, intuitive, and genuinely helpful — a tool that helps people stay on track without feeling like extra work.

DayPilot is a smart, minimalistic daily planning companion designed to help users organize their day efficiently using real-time scheduling, reminders, and habit tracking.

It enables users to:

We built DayPilot using a modular and scalable architecture to ensure performance, maintainability, and smooth user experience.

Backend: Firebase Functions
Database: Firebase Firestore
APIs: Firebase Authentication, Firestore Realtime Sync
Hosting/Deployment: Firebase Hosting

We followed agile development cycles, rapid prototyping, and continuous UI/UX refinement to ensure that the final product feels polished despite a tight timeline.

⚡ Challenges We Ran Into

Every challenge shaped the project:
