Inspiration
The calendar is the todo list.
Sam Corcos: 100 percent. It’s reducing that stress that is created by having this ambiguously long list of potential tasks that you need to do. There’s no way to see in an email that I need this from you by 2:00 today, or I need it from you next month. You have to go through every single one individually in order to get that information.
What it does
This is a simple but powerful executive assistant that will save you time reading emails for actionable items. The EA will read your incoming emails for todos and deadlines and create calendar events for them.
How we built it
Using LangChain to have AI perform actions on the Nylas API.
Challenges we ran into
Prompting is very tricky. Sometimes it would get stuck an a loop continuously asking questions about completing the task itself instead of making you aware of it.
What's next for Dayly
What's next for Dayly is building a unified calendar and email app built for people that use the calendar as the todo list. With the AI adding potential tasks and deadline to an inbox, with the original message attached for the user to manually approved or alter any information before adding it to the calendar. With the potential of observing the EA and making adjustments to it live.Ï
