Inspiration
I've used every budgeting and financial planner there is out there and non of them have worked for me. I was recently laid off from my job, and more than ever I needed to have more control over my finances than ever before. I started to play around with different ways to visualize my money, and how different purchases and spending habits affected my bottom line.
What it does
Dayly puts financial planning at the forefront by integrating financial planning and budgeting with your daily planning and reminders. Doing this stops financial planning from being a second thought.
The main financial feature of Dayly is in how it visualizes your bills and savings. In Dayly, your savings are measured and displayed in days, hence the name Dayly.
When you add bills and recurring purchases to Dayly, it shows you how different amounts eat away at your days to survive. Doing it this way is a more impactful way to understand and weigh opportunity costs of frivolous spending.
The secondary features are the opinionated wallets to add separation and more control of your finances.
The Spending Wallet Use the spending wallet for your everyday purchases. The spending wallet can be viewed as your allowance. Any purchases within the limit are fair game.
The Savings Wallet Use the savings wallet to put away money for the future.
The Bills Wallet Use the bills wallet to pay bills and other major recurring finances like a gym membership.
The Subscriptions Wallet Use the subscriptions wallet for internet subscriptions such as Netflix, or Spotify.
The Home Wallet Use the home wallet for groceries and household purchases.
