DayFlow — Your Personal Productivity Assistant
Inspiration
Students and developers often struggle to organize assignments, project deadlines, and daily responsibilities. DayFlow was created to bring task management and focused planning into one simple, accessible experience.
What it does
DayFlow is a productivity assistant that helps users organize tasks and plan their work.
Key features include:
- Task Management: Create tasks and track their completion.
- Focus Planning: Generate a structured plan for a focused work session.
- Daily Briefing: Review priorities and get an overview of your tasks.
- MCP Tools: Expose productivity actions through a Model Context Protocol server for compatible clients.
How we built it
DayFlow uses a JavaScript-based web interface and a Node.js backend. The project includes a browser dashboard, server-side productivity functionality, and an MCP integration layer.
Challenges we faced
A key challenge was bringing multiple productivity actions into one coherent experience while keeping the application simple to use. We focused on a modular structure so the functionality can be tested and extended.
What we learned
We explored how web applications, backend services, and tool-based AI integrations can work together to support everyday productivity.
What's next
Future improvements include persistent task storage, stronger MCP interoperability, and further integration with compatible conversational assistant experiences.
Amazon Developer Hackathon
DayFlow is our exploration of conversational, tool-driven productivity in the Alexa+ ecosystem. The submitted demonstration will show the features and integrations that have been implemented and verified.
