Inspiration

Our inspiration was endless top-down shooters.

What it does

The project is an endless top-down shooter. The player has to survive the day and the night while being chased down by monsters like zombies, and/or skeletons. It gets progressively more difficult when the night comes.

How we built it

Discussed the prompt then came up with an idea. The roles were then distributed based on expertise/knowledge. Glen and Sham made the art. Dom made the music. Karson implemented the art and music onto the game and coded the game.

Challenges we ran into

Fixing the physics for the game. Learning how to make tile maps, learning to use piskel.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing the game! Pooling our talents to make the game, and working with each other.

What we learned

Learned how to use Piskel. Learned how to use Python/gdscript. Also learned the very basics of game development. Using GitHub.

What's next for Day N' Night

Adding more rooms, more levels, and transitions. More items and possibly adding power-ups. Making more music. There are lots of features that could be added to the game.
