Name of Game. Day to Day

Day 0 - Story section:Introduction [character name input] left his small town behind seeking a position for a new growing tech company. [character name input] arrived at the crowded city filled with illuminated billboards and constant sound of traffic. However, life might not always be the way you intended.

The Object of game: Budget according to your income by buying supplies from the store to keep health points, hunger, and happiness up. Rent is due everyday and increases as the day progresses.

Tutorial text: go to your new apartment and rest up for the next day.

Text: At the end of the day, rent will be due for your apartment and will increase by $20 everyday. The base rent will be $20. Don’t worry this night will be free.

                    Day 1- 

Story section: [cni] wakes up to the scent of morning brew coffee and honking cars. [cni] checked his phone and looked at his wallet having a whopping $0. (get a message from his manager), “Welcome [cni], come to the work building. Oh, if you are lost it’s the grey building at the end of the street.”

In Game Text: “The income you earned will depend on the amount of effort you put in work.”

Income Earned: Base Salary: $100 + $1 per 20 character type. (0.10 x 1 character) Tax Cut: 0.03 x $(income earned)

Total Income after tax: Income Earned - Tax Cut

Financial tip pop up: Louisiana has a flat tax rate of 3%. Use this information to budget your needs and savings.

In Game Text: “After each work session, hunger, thirst, and happiness will randomly decrease by 10-20.”

If any stats dropped to 0 then it will be gameover

Health Point (hp) : Health will reduce your happiness if you drop below a certain threshold.

Hunger: Hunger will increase as the day progress

Thirst: Thirst will increase as the day progress

Happiness: Happiness can increase and reduce depending on your health, hunger, and thirst. Buying items from the store can increase happiness.

Game Tip: Manage your budget according to your needs and make sure to have savings in case of random events/emergencies.

Store tutorial: Items are purchasable in the stores that can increase health points, reduce hunger, increase happiness, or relieve status conditions.

First Day Store: Apple: item description: (reduce hunger by 10) cost $4, band aid: item description (increase health point by 10) $6, and playing cards (description increase happiness by 5 points) $4.

Store Clerk: Careful, there is a sale tax of 5% on all item purchases in the store.

After Purchasing Item Store Clerk: Thank you for your purchase!

New Objective: Return to your apartment and rest for the next day.

If the character type is over 100 words per minute, increase base salary by double.

                    Day 2-

Story Section: [cni] wakes up to the usual scent of morning coffee and the busy sound of the city. see a message from his manager, “it’s time to clock into work.”

start the typing game.

After working the player gets sick.

in game text: uh oh, [icn] have gotten sick, this is a status condition that will decrease your health and happiness overtime. You won’t be able to show up to work until it’s cured.

Game Tip: It’s best to cure it as soon as possible. Medicine can be purchased in the store.

Store: Apple, Band aid, playing cards, and medicine. (1 random items) In game text: There will be one random item in the store everyday. Might want to have savings in case to purchase the random item.

Possible random items: 10% chance of getting steak, $20 hunger and happiness to max. 50% chance of getting a rock, $3 that does absolutely nothing. (a cool looking rock for description). 15% chance of getting pills that increase health point to max, $15. 15% chance of getting pokemon cards that have 25% chance of increasing happiness to max, $5. 10% chance of a large water bottle, $5 to increase thirst to max.

Possible random events: (all the events are independent of each other)

10% Chance of toilet breaking: pay $15 to fix or the player's happiness will decrease by 50% after the day is over, continue until it’s fix

10% chance of a partner appearing on the map. (an interactable beautiful woman/man.) “Hello, this is my favorite spot to hangout.” The city life is so beautiful, I just wish that I could spend it with someone special.” (special, take 15% of the money income you earned but permanently increase happiness by 50%)

25% of getting injured and decreasing health point by half.

5% chance of a thief robbing the player for 50% of his current money.

10% chance of Sudden heat waves: thirst increment will be doubled during the day.

20% chance of getting sick, gradually decreasing health and happiness until cured. Can’t show up to work.

10% chance of stores having a scarcity, everything in the store cost double.

                Day 3

Story section: It’s the same usual morning of busy city life and the usual text message appears that it’s time to work. Getting used to city life, you decide that you might want to invest your money for the future.

(a new app appear on the phone or in apartment that the player can interact with to start the game) Long term stocks, players put in money they want to invest and each day will increase it by 10%. Short term stocks, ur game of roulette or smth

Financial Tip: Putting a proportion of money to invest is good for the long run and potentially builds passive wealth.

Day 4

Story section: The morning rises up again and the city seems to be busier than usual. Your manager texted you that there is an important meeting at work. After the player arrived at work: Manager: “[icn], have you gotten used to the city life yet? There is actually a special promotion in the store where all the items are 50% off. After you are done working, you should really check it out.”

Game text: each week there is a special day where everything in the store is 50% off.

Financial tip: plan your budget accordingly to save money

Store clerk: Hello, welcome to our weekly sale, everything in the store is 50% off the original price! If there is anything that you might want to buy now is the time.

                Day 5

Story section: It’s almost the end of the week and the weekend is near. You wake up to the morning sun and the sound of blasting music? The usual text from the manager saying that it’s time to work.

After work:

Manager: Congratulations on making it through the first week of work! If you need a place to relax, the night club just opened up featuring multiple famous artists.

Night Club: lose $1 every 5 seconds spent there. Happiness slowly increases and chances of finding a potential partner.

Interaction with Fronchetti: it looks like he is having difficulty keeping his balance.

After the player pays his rent/head back to his apartment.

In game text: [icn] finally adjusted to city life and survived his first week of work. He continued to go to work and budget his life day to day. Congratulations on beating Day to Day. Unlocked Infinite mode.
