Inspiration
At night, we struggled finding reliable transportation. We'd get on call with Husky SafeTrip only not to be given an ETA, and we'd regularly miss the Husky NightRide buses due to the buses not running or skipping stops all together.
What it does
Expands on the Jira Kanban board via Forge Apps and treats each bus as an 'issue' and each bus stop as a 'status'. Utilizing live location tracking (implemented via the Google Maps API), we automatically move the buses from stop to stop on the board, creating a visual tracker for the bus system.
How we built it
We created Atlassian Forge Apps and built into their JavaScript features. We also utilized the Google Maps API and Eleven Labs technology.
Challenges we ran into
When initially deploying our app, we realized that there were restrictions on what could be displayed in our project itself due to us building in team view and not community view. Further, when we first tried deploying our apps, we hadn't the proper permissions to push to the DubHacks cloud site.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning a new tool!
