Inspiration
In every Pakistani home, Ammi asks "Fridge me kya hai aur aaj kya pakau?" 40% of food is wasted because we don't know what to cook with what we have. I wanted to solve my own family's daily problem with AI.
What it does
Dawat AI - Fridge Ki Photo Se Voice Pakwan
- User takes a photo of their fridge/kitchen.
- Gemini Vision AI detects ingredients (tamatar, aloo, chicken, dahi).
- AI suggests 3 authentic Pakistani dishes you can cook RIGHT NOW.
- Gives step-by-step Urdu/English recipe, time & bazaar list for missing items.
- NEW: Voice-Guided Cooking Mode - Hands-free! App reads recipe steps aloud, so you can cook without touching your phone.
- Reduces food waste and saves money.
How we built it
- Frontend: Flutter for Android & iOS
- AI: Google Gemini Vision API for ingredient detection
- Voice Feature: Flutter TTS (Text-to-Speech) for voice-guided recipes
- Backend: Firebase for auth & storage. ## 💰 Monetization - RevenueCat Shipaton Integrated RevenueCat for subscriptions:
- Monthly (Rs 499), Yearly (Rs 4,999) & Lifetime plans
- Paywall with offerings: $rc_monthly, $rc_annual, $rc_lifetime

- Go Pro button unlocks premium recipes
- Inspiration from Pakistani culture: All recipes are desi - Biryani, Nihari, Aloo Gosht, etc.
Challenges we ran into
Making Voice feature work smoothly in Urdu/English and handling noisy kitchen environments.
What's next for Dawat AI
Add voice commands "Next Step" and regional languages like Punjabi.

What we learned
How to integrate Gemini Vision ,implement hands-free Voice UX for kitchen ,and use RevenueCat for real monetization. Also learned about Samsung Galaxy Store Seller Portal (Seller ID :000000259960).
