What it does
This LLM produces MIDI and XML files for music production studios.
How we built it
We developed a dataset consisting of MIDI files and XML presets tailored for the Astra synthesizer. Following this, we refined the Mistral LLM to enhance its capability in recognizing user demands for generating MIDI sequences and synthesizer presets.
Challenges we ran into
The most significant challenge we faced was preparing the dataset, which consumed the majority of our time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have achieved the initial results from this LLM's operation.
What we learned
We gained experience in navigating the fine-tuning process of Mistral with data specific to a particular domain.
What's next for daw-llm
Future steps include processing the entire dataset we have collected, as currently, we have only processed 1% of it.
