Inspiration
Our inspiration camefrom two real life examples, from our friend group. The problem was major and real
What it does
Datum is the first Algeria Data market that allows new startup owners to buy datasets that are sold by Algerian companies on the same website, itallows buyers to request datain case it is notavailable on the website, and also the buyers to consult the demand on the market. We also offer personalized customer service to our client with the ability to ask for the data shaped in certain forms, since our website isnot only Data science and AI oriented
How we built it
We started the journey with making the user flow, that allowed us to create the simplest user experience that suits all ages. The front-end and the back-end of our platform were done simultaneously considering the huge time we took to make research and gather statistics (over more than 12 hours)
Challenges we ran into
The theme itself was pretty vast and each time we ran into a good idea, we found a problem or an obstacle by the gouvernment that prevented us from doing it. and since the project is mainly aimed for Algeria, it was hard for us to find a futuristic idea that goes under the Algerian standard
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are pretty much proud of the data we have gathered and the idea itself since it is new in the Algerian market and it addresses a reallife problem that we youth and startup owners struggled with fora very long time
What we learned
We learned that data is important morethan we thought and its analysis can either bring you upor down, data is very sensitive and important and it does change a lot about the perspective. We also got to see propectives from multiple mentors that allowed us to give the project a new vision and implement in it new features
What's next for DATUM
we want datum to be able to provide scientific data that is open source for research and also make/push algeria into consideringdata as the new primary matter
