Inspiration
I'm sure many people love love, and i do too, so i had inspiration to make a design of a mobile app where poeple come together and find love.
What it does
People create an account and signup on this dating app and they get matched with an algorithm and possible mates are displayed for the person to scroll through and like.
How I built it
I built this project using React-Native with Typescript and JavaScript. I opted for Typescript because it has security features that help during app development and identification of error during development time instead of during runtime.
Challenges I ran into
I ran into challenges like how to design an image-intensive application and still maintain speed and efficiency. I got to solve this problem with lazy loading features available in React-Native.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I proud of being able to successfully finish the app and it runs very well. I also managed to use different google-fonts in my app and successfully created an app for people looking for love out there!
What I learned
I learned the use of Typescript with React-Native. I learned how to work with different fonts in a React-Native mobile app. I learned how to lazy load images.
What's next for Dating App
What's next is that this app will be fully comleted with full functionality since now it's just design. There's also the release of the app to both Google PlayStore and App Store.
