What it does

Date-Night-Planner is a rails application to help you choose date options from the Yelp API. You can add them to your profile to keep tabs on where you want to go, how much it will cost, and a nice photo of the location. We learned a lot about the Ruby & Rails infrastructure and how to implement front end features with Ruby.

We plan to develop the UI a little bit more and add more features...

I created some simple front end features and setup our Github actions CI/CD. I also learned a little bit of Ruby a long the way.

I learned from my peers to contribute to the Rails side of the project, running database migrations and setting up authentication routing using Devise for the first time.

Gerald Marquez
I set up the Rails application and created the Github repo to share. I handled the integration with the Yelp API and helped my team populate the view with the data. I also helped style the main page and auth pages.

Marc Jaramillo
I created the backend of the application using the MVC framework used by the rails server side web application framework. I created a database table for users to be able to save events as well as being able to destroy events. With the help of Marc, who integrated the yelp api into our rails application, I was able to grab the necessary information from the yelp api, and display it on to the client side server, where user will be able to see all the events when searching
