Inspiration

The Data Vault was inspired by the frustrating experience many startups face during fundraising - sharing sensitive company information through insecure email attachments, outdated file-sharing platforms, or clunky data rooms that feel more like digital filing cabinets than professional presentations. I wanted to create something that is usefull with a stunning design, making due diligence to make it enjoyable for both founders and investors.

The Data Vault is a beautiful data room platform specifically designed for modern startups. It allows founders to

Create stunning, data rooms with simplicity Organize company information across key sections (Overview, Financials, Market, Team, Product, Legal, Metrics, Funding, Documents) Pin important documents for quick access Search across all company data and documents Manage the entire fundraising process from a single, secure platform The platform features a distinctive brutalist design aesthetic with bold colors, playful rotations, and strong shadows that make it stand out from traditional corporate tools.

How I built it

DataVault is built using, Bolt.new of course and the teck stack is; Frontend: Vite React 18 with TypeScript for type safety and better developer experience Styling: TailwindCSS with custom brutalist design components Backend/Database: Supabase - PostgrSQL Icons: Lucide React for consistent iconography Deployment: Netlify for fast, reliable hosting

Challenges I ran into

Making the styling nice and row level security in supabase

Accomplishments that Im proud of

The design is my most favorite part aswell as it being functional, for startups and investors

What I learned

That creating apps is super easy

What's next for DataVault

Whats next is to expand it so anyone can signup with an email and create thier own data vault
