DataShield started as a course project (Sep 2024 - Dec 2024) and my first ever coding project, but I chose the project topic myself and intentionally took on a more challenging networking and cybersecurity-focused idea rather than a conventional application. I wanted to use the project to explore TCP/IP communication, client-server architecture, and encrypted messaging through a practical implementation.
The main goal was to build a desktop messaging system around TCP/IP communication and AES encryption, while integrating database-backed user and organizational management to support the application.
Built With
- .net
- aes-256
- socket.io
- sql
- tcp-ip
- visual-basic
