Inspiration

The inspiration for DataQuest-Decentralized came from the growing demand for high-quality labeled data in AI and machine learning, along with the lack of fair and transparent incentives for contributors. Traditional data labeling platforms are centralized, slow, and often restrict global participation. By leveraging blockchain technology, we aimed to create a system that rewards contributors instantly and fairly while ensuring trust and transparency.

What it does

DataQuest-Decentralized is a Solana-powered decentralized data labeling and data collection platform. Organizations create structured tasks called Quests for data labeling, surveys, and content evaluation. Contributors complete these quests and receive instant crypto rewards, while organizations gain access to reliable, high-quality data with real-time analytics and exportable reports.

How we built it

  • Frontend: React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
  • Backend: Node.js with Express.js and custom authentication
  • Database: MongoDB
  • Cloud Storage: AWS
  • Blockchain: Solana for secure, fast, and low-fee payments

The workflow includes quest creation, contributor participation, quality validation, analytics, and automated Solana-based payouts.
