Inspiration

Our group was inspired to help the Hawaii Department of Transformation (DOT) simplify their work to collect information on active projects.

What it does

DataOnTheWire is a web application that provides an online form to be submitted regarding current DOT projects. There are admin and regular users to verify a user is permitted to submit an online form.

How we built it

We built our project using both django and Python to design the front end interface along with SQLite for our database.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into would be the time constraint and simplifying the complexity of how much data was being tracked.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our user authentication system which allows for various types of users.

What we learned

We learned how to implement Model View Controller interface to our front end.

What's next for DataOnTheWire

DataOnTheWire hopes to continue our work with TOD.
