Inspiration
We wanted to make data analysis simple and accessible. Instead of using multiple tools and writing complex code, users should be able to upload a dataset and instantly gain meaningful insights through AI and visualizations.
What it does
DataInsight is an AI-powered analytics platform that lets users upload datasets, explore interactive charts, detect trends, and receive AI-generated summaries to make data-driven decisions quickly.
How we built it
We built DataInsight using React + Vite for the frontend, FastAPI for the backend, Pandas for data processing, AI for insight generation, and deployed it using Vercel and Railway.
Challenges we ran into
Handling different dataset formats, integrating the frontend and backend, debugging deployment issues, and ensuring smooth performance across the application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Built a complete end-to-end analytics platform.
- Successfully integrated AI-generated insights.
- Deployed a fully functional cloud-based application.
What we learned
We gained hands-on experience in full-stack development, API integration, cloud deployment, data processing, and building AI-powered applications.
What's next for DataInsight
We'll add support for more file formats, natural language queries, predictive analytics, collaborative dashboards, and real-time data visualization.
