Inspiration
I've seen a lot of research done on the relationship between crime and various factors of a community. I want to confirm that crime is not attributed to race but instead to other factors. In addition, many interesting trends we've found have given us several ideas as to where our research should lead.
What it does
We studied trends based of a variety of factors of housing and population in San Diego.
How we built it
We used Python along with Jupyter Notebook and Pandas.
Challenges we ran into
Sometimes our linear regression wouldn't turn out exactly how we want it to, and it is very difficult to create curved lines of best fit. We resolved it through trial and error.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We found many interesting trends that help to confirm many of our hypotheses. We also learned a lot about studying data and the ins and outs of data science.
What we learned
We learned so much about the complexities of data and ways that various data can reveal trends that could prove to be quite revolutionary.
