Inspiration
We were inspired by the gap between everyday users and the true power of AI. While experts use prompt engineering, specialized tools, and orchestrated workflows to achieve powerful outcomes, most people only scratch the surface using general-purpose tools like ChatGPT. We wanted to make expert-level AI capabilities accessible to everyone—whether they’re analyzing data, launching a business, or improving themselves.
The vision is that as we move to a post AGI workplace. We need to have ways for people to benefit from their skills and experience in a world where AI disrupts the job market. Humans orchestrate AI personas; DataGent becomes the operating system of business intelligence.
What it does
DataGent is an AI-powered platform that helps people and businesses achieve their goals by accessing, creating, and collaborating with specialized AI agents. Users can:

- Sell or share these agents on the AI Persona Marketplace

- Build Your Business Brain Add a data source: Excel, Docx, PDF, SQL dumps, APIs, live streams, website, pitch deck, or SOPs. Our Business Profile Builder turns them into a living knowledge graph that teaches every AI persona your KPIs, glossaries, and goals.
- Get Your AI Agent We instantly match you with a specialized AI agent trained for your specific role — data analyst, marketing strategist, business consultant, or automation expert. Each agent comes pre-loaded with industry knowledge. All personas inherit your business context, so answers are never generic. 3.Watch Your Business Grow Add new personas from the marketplace anytime; the Concierge instantly adds them to the team. Your AI agents work continuously and collaboratively to analyze data, generate insights, create content, and automate tasks. Get daily reports, actionable recommendations, and watch your key metrics improve week after week.
How we built it
We built the MVP with: Frontend: React + Tailwind for a clean, dynamic user experience Backend: FastAPI (Python) for agent orchestration and API management LLM Integration: LangChain with support for OpenAI, Claude, Ollama (for offline/local LLMs), opensource AI providers(Openrouter, Groq) Vector DB and Knowledge graph: Qdrant and mem0 for context-aware retrieval Agent Framework: A composable architecture using LangGraph-inspired RAGs and memory modules Marketplace: Built as a modular layer to let users upload, version, and monetize their agents
Challenges we ran into
Designing an agent orchestration system flexible enough for both non-technical users and power users Ensuring the UI is intuitive even as the underlying system allows for complex logic and data flows Balancing real-time collaboration, offline-first functionality, and performance across cloud and desktop versions Pricing and cost control, especially when managing LLM and vector DB usage for different user tiers
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully built a fully working MVP with real beta users in multiple industries: data analysis, media production, and marketing Created a working no-code agent composer usable by non-programmers Developed a prototype for the AI Persona Marketplace, enabling users to share and monetize their agents Demonstrated a use case where a data analyst used an agent to reduce time spent on data classification from 2 days to 1 hour.
What we learned
People want outcomes, not prompts. They care about getting insights or launching campaigns—not learning prompt syntax Composability is key. The most powerful use cases arise when users combine multiple agents into workflows Context is king—For AI to deliver output that matches your intent and values, it needs to know your intent and values.
