Database of Places to Get Activity in the Bronx.

Inspiration

I know that sometimes it is hard for me to find out where I can play different sports without extensive research about where and closing times so I made this database so people can find where they can play different sports but all in one app. I also want to solve the problem of teenagers and kids spending there whole day on screens, especially during this beautiful weather and a common excuse is they don't know where they can play. This is an easy way to find a place close to you and know when you can and can'y go.

What it does

The program will ask you what sport you want to play and will give you a few options once you respond it will give you a list of places to play the sport in the Bronx. After, it will ask you if you want to play another sport and if you say yes it will repeat but if you say no than the code stops.

How we built it

I used Google Maps to find the different locations, when they close and what they are called, and used Visual studio code for my coding.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into the fact that some locations didn't have closing times listed on Google Maps so I had to do research to find them.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud that I was able to and that I can help people get exercise.

What we learned

I learned how many different places there are to play sports and have fun in the Bronx and how accessible they are.

What's next for Database of Places to Get Activity in the Bronx.

I want to make this an app that can be downloaded and expanded it to more sports.
