What it does
Our program encrypts and decrypts data on the fly for users to be able to secure their own data. Furthermore, it allows users to create strong, memorable passwords using Gemini that creates passwords off a theme the user inputs, so a users password will always be strong.
How we built it
We primarily used Google Gemini to create this project, along with adding in a bit of our own code. AI is the future to software engineering, so being able to gain a mastery of it through this project is important.
Challenges we ran into
Being able to understand and utilize Gemini's code, as well as using it's API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Figuring out how to incorporate AI in a project to become as time efficient as possible.
What we learned
We primarily learned how to use AI in a project. It was new to all of us, and utilizing the randomness and "other entity" of Gemini to our advantage was fun.
What's next for Data Security Hub
Next, we hope to develop Gemini's password creation to the point that it is even harder to guess the theme, so that people won't have their information scraped off social media to find the theme. We also hope to better randomize the encryption software.
