Data Fort

Inspiration

I have been using google drive to store files ever since I entered college. I figured there must be some way to use blockchain to store files instead of transactions like the normal method.

What it does

The idea is very simple and so is its use. My project can be used to display images and files to be stored on the blockchain using IPFS protocol. This protects the data stored to be safe from any kind of editing and/or deletion, which can be used by big companies handling sensitive data and/or governments to protect data from being changed by corrupt officials.

How we built it

I used next.js to develop the frontend of the website, and solidity to write the smart contract. I used pinata to make use of the IPFS protocol.

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into were dealing with deprecated libraries and documentation.
