Inspiration
I was inspired by the Philly Bail Fund to create some data visuals in order to better understand the current situation involving debt in this community.
What it does
Creates a dashboard with data visuals for one to explore.
How I built it
I used pyplot and dash to create data visuals and graphs with the data provided by Philly Bail Fund. I would test my graphs on jupyter notebook so that I could tweak them as needed. Then I created an application using dash in python to create the dashboard for the data visuals.
Challenges I ran into
This is my first hackathon so I'm pretty proud I got anything done. I never really used pyplot before or dash. I had some experience with data analytics on python but only in a stem setting. Figuring out the best ways to represent data and the syntax was a bit hard.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm glad I learned how to new libraries. I pretty happy that I was able to finish something on my own
What I learned
I'm glad I learned how to use pyplot and dash.
What's next for Data Dashboard Philly Bail Fund
I will definitely take more time to add more interactive graphs on the dashboard, and improve the overall UI of the dashboard.
