Data analysis on Titanic dataset

Inspiration:

We wanted to validate the theories behind the titanic disaster by actually analysing the data.

What it does

We performed Multiple regression models and techniques. And also implemented decision trees.

How we built it:

We used R studio and its packages

Challenges we ran into:

Selecting the appropriate and useful variables needed a lot of data analysis.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

More confident in working with R. Since we had no background in it.

What we learned

We learnt some tricks used to analyse data easily. And one of the important things we learnt is that R converts categorical variables into dummy variables internally.

What's next for Data analysis on Titanic dataset

We would love to try Ensemble techniques in order to improve our predictions for the survival rates.
