Inspiration

Inspired by high-school schedule sheets that allowed students to simply "tick-off" what elective courses they'd like; I wanted to make the class registration process more intuitive and easier for those entering college for the first time.

What it does

Creates a class-schedule given a major and selected UC.

How we built it

I built it with React, Node.js, Express.js, and MySQL.

Challenges we ran into

It was my first time working with Node.js/Express.js and MySQL which made it difficult for me to figure out how to connect my front-end to the server.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating dassist.

What we learned

I learned how to connect a basic react-web app to a mysql database using express.

What's next for dassist

Option to select multiple UCs, take into consideration recommended coursework, allow user to create their own schedule.
