Inspiration
DASHH was inspired by the need for more transparency and better monetization for micro-influencers. It empowers creators by integrating blockchain and the Reclaim protocol, allowing them to bid for views and earn rewards based on engagement, not just impressions. By decentralizing the advertising process, DASHH gives influencers more control, ensuring fair compensation and fostering active, transparent engagement with their audience.
What it does
DASHH is a decentralized platform that empowers micro-influencers to lead their own ad campaigns. It integrates with Instagram and uses the Reclaim protocol to enable users to bid for views and earn rewards based on the highest engagement till the campaign period. This ensures fair compensation for content creators and provides transparency in the advertising ecosystem.
How we built it
We built DASHH by combining blockchain technology with social media engagement metrics. The platform leverages the Reclaim protocol to track and reward engagement. We developed smart contracts on the Solana blockchain for secure and transparent transactions, and integrated with Instagram’s API for engagement data. The user interface was built to be simple yet powerful, allowing influencers to manage their campaigns easily.
Challenges we ran into
Transparency Issues - Reclaim Protocol for authenticated engagement data Cost Efficiency - Elimination of intermediaries Payment Reliability - On-chain escrow and on Solana Fraud Prevention - zkTLS proofs and Sybil resistance mechanisms
Accomplishments that we're proud of
---> Through this project we have won a reclaim track in Solana Radar Hackathon. ---> Received a grant from Solana Foundation X CoinDcx indiagrant.
We are proud of creating a fully functional decentralized advertising platform that provides micro-influencers with the tools to control their campaigns and earn rewards transparently. The integration of blockchain with social media was a significant achievement, offering a new way for influencers to monetize their content.
What we learned
We learned how to merge blockchain with social media platforms, which is no easy feat. The importance of building a seamless user experience while keeping the underlying technology robust was a key takeaway. We also deepened our understanding of decentralized finance (DeFi) and smart contract development.
What's next for DASHH
- Make It Fully On-Chain Using Rust, Expand to More Reclaim Providers, and Enhance UI/UX Features
- Onboard Small Micro-Influencers
- Expand Collaboration Across Web3 Advertising Industry
- Releasing SDK
- We plan to expand the platform to support more social media platforms beyond Instagram, with Twitter being the main focus.
- We also plan to improve the bidding process and scale the blockchain infrastructure for even faster transactions.
