Our team has chosen the Education problem statement and our project is called @venture! Our team realized that some problems students faced when Home Based Learning was introduced were that they tend to lose motivation in their studies easily and found online lessons dull and boring. Thus, our hack introduces an innovative way of education by gamifying learning. @venture web app that allows students to control a character inside a 2D map and they can navigate this character to access homework assignments and online lesson links by entering “the classroom” in the map. This feature would be refreshing and interesting for students as it introduces a brand new perspective on how their work can be accessed. Students also earn “prestige points” for completing lessons and assignments and this introduces a friendly competition between classmates and makes learning more effective as students would be more motivated by this aspect. Thus, our group believes this hack would make learning from home more effective, exciting, and safe while giving students a new and exciting way of tackling Home-Based Learning
