Inspiration
As UCSB students in the CS program, it can be really hard to manage time, and it is also challenging to focus on what needs to be done. It seems a lot easier to simply discuss it and add it to a Calendar with suggestions.
What it does
Dario, the AI calendar app, allows users to speak to the app and create a structuralized calendar based on that. When prompted for something like a study plan, using an LLM, it reasons and figures out good timeslots that may be beneficial to study.
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
It was really hard training the AI and getting it to reason like we hoped to. We spent many hours, and still, there were many bugs because it was not reasoning correctly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we managed to incorporate the LLM into the reasoning and at least make a functioning voice.
What we learned
We learned a lot about using APIs to utilize aspects from different areas.
What's next for Dario
WHats next is fixing the bugs and offering translation support.
