Inspiration
Our inspiration to pursue the education track came from our own experiences. From bring students ourselves to volunteers supporting our youth, we have experiences the impact of quality education.
What it does
Our website brings awareness to flaws in the education system and what we as a society must do to resolve these issues. Scroll up and down the page on your mobile device, tablet, or computer. Each section has a brief description and a link to an article with more information. At the bottom of the page you can email us for more information.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS to develop this site. One of our priorities was to make it accessible or everyone on any device. We encourage our users to click the buttons that will bring them to other articles so they can continue learning about education necessities. You can view our site on Ashley's replit. https://hackathon--ashleysi.repl.co/ Account username: ashleysi
Challenges we ran into
We had to do a lot of research and ensure that our information is accurate. Debugging our code took a long time as well but we were able to fix our issues.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to participate in our first hackathon and work on this website together over the weekend. We believe that our website discusses an important issue and is easy to use.
What we learned
We learned how to make a website visually aesthetic so users will have good experience. We learned more about the what CUNY has done to allow students to #KeepLearning during a global pandemic. We learned how unity has kept our community strong and persistent despite the tremendous hardships and losses we faced as a society.
