Inspiration
I'm building a fashion brand. And somewhere in the middle of managing client requests, lost measurements, and briefs that never quite said what the client actually meant — I got frustrated enough to build something. Made-to-order fashion is a $60 billion industry that still runs on voice notes. Nobody had built proper infrastructure for it. So I did.
What it does
Dara connects people commissioning custom clothing with the independent makers creating it. Customers build a style profile through real AI conversation, store their measurements in a portable Body Passport, and find makers globally. Makers get AI client intake, order pipeline, pricing engine, lookbook studio, and a storefront — all in one place. Before any fabric gets cut, Dara cross-references the commission brief against the client's body profile and flags fit problems. That feature doesn't exist anywhere else.
How we built it
Entirely through conversation with MeDo. No code. No developer. Just clear descriptions of what I wanted, and MeDo built it — from the AI conversations to the payment integration to the global marketplace
Challenges we ran into
Making the AI conversations feel genuinely intelligent rather than just functional. Getting the two-sided experience right — customer and designer have completely different needs and the platform had to serve both without confusion.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The Brief Validator. I described it in one sentence and MeDo built something that genuinely doesn't exist in fashion technology. Also building a full two-sided marketplace with real payments and AI at the core — with zero code.
What we learned
How to think in systems. Building for two different users on one platform forces you to be very clear about who needs what and when.
What's next for Dara app
Launching it as a real product. I'm already building my fashion brand on it.
