Inspiration
The inspiration for dAppify came from the growing need for a dApps hub in the decentralized world. As blockchain technology and dApps continue to proliferate, the ecosystem has become increasingly fragmented, making it challenging for users to find and trust dApps. We envisioned a platform that could bring all these applications together, ensuring quality and security through a decentralized approval process.
What it does
How we built it
Frontend: React.js for building a responsive and user-friendly interface. Backend: Solidity for the smart contract to implement backend functionalities. Blockchain Integration: Ethereum blockchain for smart contracts, using Solidity to develop the ERC20 token and DAO functionality. Real-Time Updates: WebSocket and blockchain oracles to provide real-time updates on blockchain activities and news.
Challenges we ran into
Smart Contract Security: Ensuring the security of smart contracts was paramount. We conducted multiple audits and employed best practices to mitigate vulnerabilities. The connection of the smart contract with the frontend was quite challenging especially when calling the functions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Coming up with a secure and working smart contract. Being able to come up with a good UI/UX. Being able to connect the smart contract and the frontend and to be able to read and write to the smart contract.
What we learned
We learnt how to work as a team and realised we can achieve alot working as team. We also learnt that its so easy to build a dApp on Lisk blockchain.
What's next for dAppify
dAppify's future plan is to be able to send tokens to its users depending on the number of downloads and get more DAO members.
