Inspiration
Managing money can be overwhelming, especially for students and young adults who are just starting their financial journey. Most financial tools focus on numbers, charts, and complex terminology, making financial education feel intimidating and inaccessible.
We wanted to create something different: a financial assistant that feels human, supportive, and easy to understand.
This idea led us to create Cora AI, a smart financial companion designed to help users understand their finances, create realistic goals, learn financial concepts, and make better decisions through natural conversation.
What it does
Cora AI is a financial guidance platform that combines financial education, budgeting assistance, goal planning, and personalized insights in a single experience.
With Cora AI, users can:
- Create and manage financial goals.
- Organize monthly expenses by category.
- Visualize their financial health through the Cora Score and Financial Thermometer.
- Receive personalized financial insights.
- Simulate purchases before making financial decisions.
- Learn financial concepts such as credit cards, interest rates, emergency funds, and budgeting.
- Chat with a virtual financial mentor in a natural and friendly way.
- Access accessibility features such as voice assistance, high-contrast mode, larger text, and multilingual support.
Instead of simply displaying financial information, Cora AI transforms data into understandable guidance.
How we built it
We built Cora AI using:

The platform was designed as a modern fintech-inspired web application with a strong focus on user experience and accessibility.
We developed:

- Multilingual interface
- Custom branding and visual identity
We also created a complete visual identity for Cora AI, including its avatar, color palette, typography, dashboard experience, and interaction design.
Challenges we ran into
One of our biggest challenges was balancing simplicity and functionality.
We wanted Cora AI to be powerful enough to help users understand their finances while remaining simple and approachable for beginners.
Another challenge was designing an assistant that felt supportive and human instead of robotic. We spent considerable time refining the visual identity, conversational tone, and user experience.
Creating meaningful financial insights without overwhelming the user was also a key design challenge.
