Dandelion Travel

Inspiration

As summer vacation approaches, we want to help people who are struggling to decided where travel by showing them the most popular attraction, helping them to schedule transportations and housing, and most importantly, designing a personalized travel thats the best for them.

What it does

It consists of most of the travel services so people can find all the services they need in Dandalion Travel. We hope to minimize the time people waste on searching for different websites for difference services. Users are encouraged to add their traveling ideas in "my plan" and get inspirations by checking out our "recommend+search" and "trending" page. When browsing through the website, users can also go to "accept the request" page and help out people need suggestions on their travel plan, as they get paid by Dandelion Travel according to how well people rate their help. As they provide help to other users, they can also get help by publishing their suggestions needed plan in "request" page as well.

We built it using HTML and CSS.

We ran into challenges because we have little to no knowledge about coding.

We built our first website.

What we learned

Since we did not have much experience with building websites, we have learned a lot as to the what a website needs besides its pure functions, such as the its UI design and its level of convenience. Through editing websites, we have realized that information on websites must be straight to the point and easy to read for its customers to make its functions more efficient.

What's next for Dandelion Travel

Form a collaboration relationship with google, airbnb, and other hotel and airlines. Bring in translation team so that users speak in different language can read each other's comment and travel notes.
