Inspiration
I was inspired from the Korean TV series that was based on Zombies in Real Life. So, I decided to why not create an Augmented Reality of Zombies dancing on the song.
What it does
The app can only run on the phone though it is browser based. Firstly, It find out the the plane where the AR can be superimposed. Second, It asks the user of the user if they want their zombie to dance or not. Third, Zombie dances on the song which was provided.
How we built it
I have used the trial version of 8th wall, three.js, Amazon Sumerian which was prebuilt in the 8th wall, and also IDE which was provided by the 8th wall website and also WebGL.
Challenges we ran into
First challenge was to fix the camera angle along with zoom in , zoom out features that were required if the imposed AR become big or too small. Second problem was to sync with the audio song that is being played in the background.
What we learned
I have learned about three.js in detail and more about 8th wall website which is in itself was a complete solution to make this project for the hackathon.
What's next for Dancing AR Zombie
AR zombie project can give out best results with ML, so that it the beats of the song can decide which pose our zombie should do.
