Inspiration
We wanted to create a place where people can meet, talk, and challenge themselves with parkour. Our goal is to make the metaverse feel alive with big events and amazing stages.
What it does
We create a VR space where games encourage players to push through obstacles firs. Then unlock the best part: real social connection and conversations worth having.
How we built it
We built it on the go. We listened to what people said while testing the experience, then we adjusted and improved it to focus on what they enjoyed most.
Challenges we ran into
The new engine was a challenge at first. It took time to understand how to get the most out of it, so we relied on tutorials and a lot of trial and error, especially with scripting and generation.
The potential is huge. Testing it confirmed that this editor enables possibilities we haven’t seen before in game development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud to have made this experience possible. From planning the world to welcoming players and placing AI NPCs throughout the map, we built a space that keeps people company and helps them connect with others and stand out on The Dance Floor.
We focused on giving a strong social + challenging experience, and we’ll keep pushing the limits to make VR a place people can truly enjoy and use more deeply today.
What we learned
We learned how powerful AI can be when paired with new tools. Even with a learning curve, it helps us build faster and adapt the experience to different tastes, ages, and play styles.
What's next for Dance It!
Improve the UX. We want to keep welcoming new players, learn what they enjoy most, and build fresh in-world economies that let them earn limited items and unlock access to their favourite collectibles.
